There's more to this story and I'm certain Mangat will speak publicly about it. All I'll say for now is that I'm sure the NDP don't want this story in the papers.
Not sure what the bother is, really. They can't very well have a member elected that might support both sound fiscal management and social justice. Could ripple through the party like a virus. This is just a normal white blood cell like protective reflex on behalf of the body corpus. No big deal.
ReplyDeleteThat might well all be true, but politics is all about optics, and Mangat has already spoke out against the NDP, and if he opts to run as an independant, the seat will be lost to the NDP. To say nothing about how bad this all looks right before an election. And if you think there isn't a civil war going on in the NDP, I've got a bridge for sale...
ReplyDeleteGood points. That civil war will spill out into public again and again. Hope eventually folks wake up to the problems that kind of infighting represents.
ReplyDelete(LOL! Right. You would try to sell me a bridge (with a Hydro logo on it...))
