Something else that doesn't play well for the NDP. People don't feel as safe in this province, and stats are proving we are crime central. Me thinks the NDP will have a hard time spinning these stats come election time.

Not much bench strength left with the NDP. Lots of MLAs are getting out while the getting's good. Blakie wasn't much of a cabinet minister anyway - way too long in the tooth and not up to date on his files. He just wanted to say he was a cabinet minister, and not a career opposition politician.

Wowchuk is not running

The finance minister is not running. That puts what was a safe NDP seat into play. The next election just got that much more interesting.

First Nations leaders are now standing up and supporting the shorter route on the east side. When will the NDP clue in and reverse their decision?

Deadline almost up for spending announcements

I don't know why governments spread the cash around right before elections, but the deadline for the NDP is quickly coming up. Then it will be a straight up election fight, not a spend our money fight.
I have heard a few rumours of more than one surprise to expect in the next couple of weeks. One would be a huge shocker for the NDP. Stay tuned.
