Conservative majority!

The splits did in opposition, who called this needless election. Can't help but think the NDP won the battle but lost the war as the Conservatives now have their majority. As for the Liberals, this is what arrogance gets you. Mulroney said it best - first they pissed off the West with the NEP, then they pissed off Quebec, and when people got tired of the Bloc, they turned to the NDP.
Looking forward to the new Quebec NDP MP who can't speak French. Lots of joke MPs for the NDP now... I will enjoy the gong show!

  1. My area Elmwood-Transcona is going down to the wire. 27,000 votes counted, and a lead of 50 votes for Conservative Lawrence Toet.

  3. The last election was called by the Tories less than a year after they had created legislation for a four year term. That was a necessary election? No confidence vote was lost.

I am still not entirely convinced that an early election is not an option for Harper if her feels he can kick the Opposition even harder before four years are up.

Certainly, I expect new TV ads to be on the air campaigning for the next election within the next six months. The Tories know that permanent election campaigning is the new strategy.
